WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Due to evening thunderstorms present in the Williamsburg area, the William and Mary and Old Dominion baseball game Friday night was suspended with the Tribe leading, 3-1, in the top of the seventh inning from Plumeri Park.  Play will resume tomorrow afternoon a 4 p.m. in the top of the seventh with the Monarchs at bat with two outs and a runner on third base.

Before play was halted, W&M was able to push across three runs, as it currently owns a two run edge over the Monarchs.

After ODU got on the scoreboard first with a run in the opening frame, the College responded by plating a pair of runs in the bottom half of the inning.  Sophomore Ryan Lindemuth drove in junior Kevin Nutter for W&M's first run of the night after he connected on a single to center field.  Senior Tadd Bower scored the Green and Gold's second run of the frame after freshman Michael Katz plated the Chesterfield, Va., native with a single to center field, and after one inning of play W&M led, 2-1.

In the bottom of the fifth, Nutter made the score, 3-1, in favor of the Tribe after he scored from third on an ODU wild pitch.

Junior RHP Brett Koehler pitched 6.2 innings, surrendering just one earned on six hits, while striking out six before play was suspended.

Tomorrow's game two that was originally scheduled for a 4 p.m. start will now get underway approximately 30 minutes after the completion of game one, which is scheduled to get underway at 4 p.m.  Fans can follow the action online at TribeAthletics.com with live audio and stats.
