WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - In a new series featuring the William and Mary women's basketball team, TribeAthletics.com sat down with the program's student-athletes to discuss their summer and various other topics. In the first edition of Catching up with Tribe Women's Basketball, fans get the chance to know a little more about senior guard Janine Aldridge.
A fifth-year senior from Massapequa, N.Y., Aldridge is the College's all-time leader in 3-pointer's made with 221 career triples. For a season, her 92 3-pointers in 2011-12 rank first in the W&M record books. Against Northeastern on Jan. 29, Aldridge connected on a school record nine 3-pointers as she poured in a career-high 27 points against the Huskies. Aldridge finished the 2011-12 campaign averaging 13.0 points per game to go along with 4.1 rebounds and a team-high 79 steals.
