The William and Mary field hockey team opens post-season play this week at the Colonial Athletic Association tournament, being hosted by top-seeded Drexel in Philadelphia.  Due to the possible effects of Hurricane Sandy, the tournament schedule has been modified somewhat.

The Tribe went 10-8 overall and 3-4 in the conference to earn the fourth seed in the tournament.  W&M will face No. 5-seed Delaware Friday morning at 10:30 a.m., with the winner advancing to face No. 1 Drexel in the semifinals Saturday at 12 p.m.  The Tribe beat Delaware 4-0 in the regular season, behind two goals from Emma Clifton (Loomberah, NSW) and solo shots from Christine Johnson (Williamsburg, Va.) and Lindsey Buckheit (East Greenwich, R.I.).  The championship game will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m.
