Q: Why did you choose the Tribe?
A: It just kind of happened.
Q: Describe a moment when you felt the most Tribe pride...
A: I got to attend the Celebration of Women’s Athletics Brunch last spring and sat with a group of women who played lacrosse for W&M about 15 years ago. Hearing them talk about the way W&M’s teams are like one big family, including the players, coaches, alumni, and even the families of the players, made me realize what a great thing it is to be part of the Tribe. One Tribe. One Family.
Q: Take us through your pre-game mental preparation routine:
A: Stand behind the blocks and smile. What could be greater than having the opportunity to represent a great school, doing the sport I love, with such a fun team!
Q: Do you belong to any other clubs, groups, or organizations?
A: I’m a Freshmen Orientation Aid. Yay! Orientation is fun! I'm also part of Kappa Delta Sorority.
Q: What are some community activities you or your team have done?
A: Every year we stuff envelopes at the Williamsburg Firehouse to help them with their fundraising. We probably stuff, stamp, and seal 10,000 envelopes. We also do the James River Swim for the American Cancer Society. We start at the Jamestown Beach and swim a few miles in the river. When we get out of the water we’re always brown and dirty. And one time we got awful close to a big barge that was chugging down the river.
Q: What is your intended or declared major and why?
A: Process Management and Consulting because I want to work with people and creating organization and efficiency is what I’m good at.
Q: Describe your dream job:
A: I’d love to be a member of the Supreme Court.
Q: If you could play another sport at W&M what would it be and why?
A: Lacrosse, because they are a very talented team and get to play against high level competition (often beating them!) and they get to travel to some fun places.
Q: Favorite team tradition/activity and why?
A: Volunteering at the Kiwanis Shrimp Feast because it brings out some of the great character in my teammates.
Q: Which teammate will have the most interesting job in 10 years and why?
A: Kayla O’Malley '12 will probably be a TV star or producing television or movies. Watch out Hollywood.
Q: What animal would best describe you and why?
A: I’d rather not think of myself as an animal.
Q: What is your favorite quote or phrase?
A: “If you’re bored, you’re boring.” Think about it. It’s so true.
Q: What is your favorite type of food (i.e. Chinese, Mexican, etc.)?
A: Turkish! Gyros, falafel, vegetables with chicken, anything!
Q: Favorite place you have visited or traveled to and why?
A: Salzburg, Austria. It’s the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen.
Q: Most addicting television show?
Friday Night Lights
Q: How will you change the world (or even just one person’s world)?
A: By having empathy and backing it up with action.
Q: Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know...
A: My 21st birthday was only 18 hours long (because I was flying through multiple time zones).
Q: What was your most-commented Facebook post?
A: “I’m back on Facebook.”
Q: What’s number one on your bucket list and why?
A: I’d love to go to Australia and/or New Zealand. It’d be cool to see some marsupials and go to the beaches there!
Q: What is your best non-athletic skill?
A: Giving massages.
Q: Favorite Person to follow on Twitter?
A: I don’t follow Twitter. Its information overload for me. You’re lucky I have a facebook.
Q: What is your biggest pet peeve and why?
A: Inefficiency. There’s only 24 hours in the day and I want them all to be productive.
Q: What is something you are afraid of?
A: Unemployment!
Q: What is an obstacle you had to overcome in your life?
A: A sports related injury before my senior year of high school.

A: It just kind of happened.
