WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (March 18, 2012) - The William and Mary women's gymnastics team closed out the regular season with a 192.275 - 191.400 loss to Temple on Senior Day at Kaplan Arena on Sunday afternoon.
Sophomore standout Jessica Pritchard led the Tribe individually and won the all-around title with a career-best 38.950 - a figure that ranks tied for sixth in the program's all-time records. Senior Kristin Milardo also posted an impressive performance in all-around with a 38.800 to place second.
W&M opened the meet on vault where it registered a season-high 48.475. Milardo led the squad by equaling a career high (9.825), while sophomore Larson Lasek also totaled a career best (9.700). Junior Jennifer Ware, freshman Stacia Ruse and Pritchard all earned a 9.650 to contribute to the team mark.
Freshman Carleigh Wrobel led the Tribe on bars and placed first among all competitors with a career-high 9.800. Pritchard also tallied a career high (9.775), while Lasek and Milardo both earned a 9.650 to help W&M register a 48.500.
In the third rotation of the afternoon, the Tribe posted a 46.975 on beam. Freshman Brandy Stover claimed the individual title with a 9.750, while Pritchard equaled a career high (9.675).
The College wrapped up the meet on floor, as Pritchard equaled a career best with a 9.850 to win the event help W&M tally a 47.450.
With the regular season complete, the Tribe will return to action when it competes at the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship hosted by Penn next Saturday at noon.
