William and Mary junior Elaina Balouris (Allison park, Pa.) was named Runner of the Week by the Colonial Athletic Association for the second time on Tuesday, after leading the Tribe into the national spotlight last weekend.  This is the second award of the season for Balouris, who was also recognized on Sept. 17.

At last Friday's Paul Short Invitational, Balouris' fifth-place performance led W&M to a second-place finish and wins over four ranked teams, including each of the past three NCAA champions.  She timed 20:29 in the six-kilometer race, and was one of three Green and Gold harriers in the top-20 in the race.  That runner-up showing propelled W&M to the top spot in the latest region poll, and up to No. 17 in the national polls.

Balouris and the Tribe return to action in two weeks, competing on Saturday Oct. 13.  The top squad will take on the Pre-National Invitational at Lousiville, while the balance of the roster will host the Tribe Open in Williamsburg.
