The Audio/Visual Room in the Jimmye Laycock Football Center was dedicated in honor of Joe Pumilia on Saturday, June 22, during a gathering of friends and family in the Tribe’s state-of-the-art football center.

Joe was a great friend of the Tribe football program who gave countless hours in support of the Green and Gold as a volunteer with the video department.  Even more importantly, he used his time in, and around, the program to become a friend and mentor to a generation of coaches and student-athletes.

The Audio/Visual room, which is the nerve center to the Tribe program’s centralized video system, will be a permanent reminder of his dedication to the program and the lasting relationships he built.

Former Tribe All-America place-kicker, Brett Sterba ‘01 spearheaded the dedication project, and over 30 alumni and friends of the program combined to raise $10,000 to name the room in Joe’s honor.  The dedication included remarks by head football coach Jimmye Laycock as well as Joe’s loving wife, Barbara Pumilia.
