As William and Mary fans across all spectrums are getting their favorite Green and Gold attire out of the closet and ready for the fast approaching fall sports seasons, the Tribe Club is also in full swing with its preparations to host its annual BB&T Tribe Club Invitational.
The event will take place on October 11, 2013, at the beautiful Blue Heron Golf Course located at Ford’s Colony. Registration will begin at 9 a.m., while the shotgun start is scheduled for 11 a.m. An awards ceremony and reception will follow immediately after the round. As an added bonus, individuals who commit to a foursome will receive a total of eight complimentary tickets to the Tribe’s home football game with the University of Pennsylvania the following day (Saturday, Oct. 12).
Getting in on the fun is just a click away, as you can take advantage of on-line registration HERE, or you can call or email Meagan Bedsaul (757-221-1552/ firstname.lastname@example.org) in the Tribe Club’s Special Events Department.
Individual player fees are $125 (just $85 for a young alumni – graduates between 2004 and 2013). Many sponsorship opportunities are available, including providing for the opportunity for a coach or staffer to join in on the fun. A complete list of these can be found in the brochure found under associated content listed next to this story.
Last year’s event raised almost $5,000 for the W&M Athletics Department and its student-athletes.
The Tribe Club is essential for excellence, as the College’s Athletics Department receives no state funds towards its operating budget. Every year, the Tribe Club relies on alumni and friends of the department to raise more than $2.5 million in unrestricted funding.
