Dominic Pagon spent four seasons as an assistant coach at his alma mater. An All-CAA player during his career, Pagon, who helped W&M to 60 victories over his four seasons and a spot in the 2007 NCAA Tournament, joined the Green and Gold staff in January of 2016 prior to the start of the dual-match season.

Each of the last two seasons, Pagon assisted in guiding the Tribe to the CAA Championship match. In 2018, W&M opened the season with five-straight wins for the first time since 1950 and knocked of No. 25 South Carolina in the process. It marked W&M's highest nationally-ranked wins since 2007. The Tribe garnered a season-high national ranking of No. 45 in February, it best since 2008, and finished the year at No. 73. Under Pagon's tutelage, Christian Cargill became just the third player in W&M to be named All-CAA First Team in singles on three occasions.
In 2017, Pagon saw W&M's first CAA Player of the Year since 1999 as Aidan Talcott took home the honor. He was the sixth CAA Player of the Year in program history and also garnered CAA Championship Most Outstanding Performer distinction.
During his first season as an assistant at W&M, Pagon helped the Tribe achieve its highest national ranking since 2010 and its best-ranked win in eight years. The Green and Gold, which finished the 2016 campaign at 15-9, moved into the national rankings for the first time at No. 60 on March 1, its highest ranking since 2010. The Tribe spent six-straight weeks in the ITA National Rankings. Highlighting the run, the Green and Gold knocked off No. 44 Drake, 4-2, at the Rice Invitational.
Pagon returned to Williamsburg after spending 2014-15 as a coach at the Chow Tennis Academy, working with top-flight junior players, including the best in the state of Florida. He also served as the Head Tennis Coach at Ad-In Tennis Academy from 2011-13. During his tenure, Pagon helped the Immaculate Conception High School Girls Tennis Team to a seventh straight National Championship.

Internationally, Pagon has been a fixture with the Jamaican Davis Cup Team. Over the summer of 2016 and 2018, he was the captain of the country’s Davis Cup team during the Americas Zone group. In 2013, Pagon was the coach and captain for the Jamaican Davis Cup Team. As the coach, he managed team logistics, including budget, scheduling, travel and equipment, while also leading the Jamaican Team to a historic 2-1 win vs. Cuba.

In total, Pagon has represented Jamaica in the Davis Cup on seven occasions and was the country’s No. 1 player in 2008, 2009, 2013 and 2014. He owns a 9-6 doubles mark in Davis Cup play, including a 2-1 mark in 2016, and 15 wins overall.

During his playing career at W&M, Pagon was a three-time All-CAA honoree, posting 55 singles wins and 47 doubles victories. He helped the Tribe to final national rankings of No. 45 in 2007, No. 67 in 2008 and No. 75 in 2009. The Green and Gold posted 16 wins each of his final three seasons. In 2007, the Tribe tallied eight wins against nationally-ranked opponents, including a victory over No. 23 ODU, on the way to the NCAA Tournament. A team captain at W&M, Pagon helped W&M to six nationally-ranked wins in 2008, including road wins at No. 34 Notre Dame and No. 38 Old Dominion. He was a two-time All-CAA player in doubles, earning first team honors in 2008. Pagon garnered third team accolades in both singles and doubles as a senior in 2009. He graduated from William & Mary with a bachelor’s degree in economics.

Pagon started playing tennis at six years old and was one of the top players in Jamaica. He was the top-ranked junior player in the Caribbean and Central American region as well as his home country. Pagon achieved a career-best ITF World Junior ranking of No. 125. Pagon represented Jamaica at the Pan-American Games in Brazil and CAC games in Colombia. He was a doubles quarterfinalist in the 2014 Central American and Caribbean games in Mexico.

He competed for the ITF team in Italy, France, Morocco and Tunisia. Pagon played throughout the world, capturing a singles title at the Coca-Cola ITF Junior Tournament in St. Lucia and double crowns at the ITF Jamaica Junior Tournament and the Fifth Carthago Cup in Tunisia. He was a singles finalist in the Florida state high school championships as a prep along with a finalist at the Costa Rica Bowl. Pagon advanced to the final in doubles at the Panama Bowl and the Eddie Herr International Tennis Tournament. Pagon advanced to the quarterfinals in doubles at the Junior Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships as well.
