Former William & Mary women's soccer standout Emory Camper returns to the program and will enter her second season as a volunteer assistant coach.

The Tribe won 10 games on its way to its NCAA record 36th consecutive winning season in 2016. W&M advanced to the league's semifinals for the sixth consecutive season, dating back to 2011. Camper helped guide six players to eight All-CAA awards in her second season, including CAA Co-Defensive Player of the Year senior Clara Logsdon as well as first-team selection junior Rachel Moore.

Camper spent the 2015-16 school year in England where she attended Durham University. While there she played center forward, while working on getting her master’s degree in business management. On the pitch, she helped the team to the BUCS (British University and College Sport) Finals, which is the equivalent to the national championship.  Camper is currently finishing her dissertation which is on narcissism in athletes, and how that correlates to different types of leadership in business to complete her master’s degree.

A four-year standout with the Tribe, Camper was a two-time team captain. She was a three-time All-Colonial Athletic Association award winner, including a first-team selection following her junior season, and also earned a pair of all-region distinctions during her collegiate career. Camper finished her Tribe career scoring 31 goals, 12 assists, and 74 points.
 
She will be involved in all facets of the program as she continues her growth and development in the transitional phase from being a player to a bright young up and coming coach. Aside from coaching the Tribe, Camper will also work with the Legacy Soccer Club in Williamsburg, and she is planning to take her US Soccer Federation (USSF) E Coaching license this spring.
 
Camper graduated with from the College with a degree in kinesiology with in a minor in marketing in the spring of 2015.
