2016 Tribe Football Spring Practice Update – March 22

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (March 22, 2016) – Today's William & Mary football spring practice update features a look at the Tribe's spring depth chart at the running back position.

"Our group is full of hard-working players who have good attitudes. Everyone consistently brings all they have to the field and push through every rep with full effort. Kendell is without question the leader of the group, but we are looking forward to good competition for the No. 2 spot during the spring and into the fall."
 
Running Backs
#4 Jonathan Dunn, Jr. (5-9, 200)
Talented tailback who possesses tremendous ability … Quick and explosive out of the backfield … Made significant improvements throughout his career and is expected to continue his progression this spring … Will be counted on to provide production this fall … Appeared in 11 games as a reserve last season and finished the year with 91 yards on 26 carries.
#26 Albert Funderburke, Jr., RFr. (6-0, 200)
Prototypical running back who possesses many of the traits necessary to develop into a tremendous player … Possesses good combination of size, speed and strength … Made excellent progress during his true freshman season … Enters fall with high expectations and will likely compete for carries … Finished his prep career at Sun Valley H.S. (Monroe, N.C.) with 7,080 and 82 touchdowns.
#35 Brehon Britt, RFr. (5-10, 190)
Talented young player who possesses good burst, speed and explosiveness … Potential to be a big-play tailback … Working hard to improve strength … Three-time first-team all-state standout at Atlantic Shores H.S. (Chesapeake, Va.) and finished his prep career with a school-record 4,260 rushing yards with 52 touchdowns.
#23 Kendell Anderson, Sr. (5-9, 200)
First-team all-conference running back who will miss the spring as he recovers from injury … Expected to be healthy by the start of preseason practices … Physical tailback who plays with a chip on his shoulder … Tremendous ability to get yards after contact … Possesses big-play ability, which has made W&M's offense more explosive and versatile … Strong, intelligent player who is good in pass protection … 2015 STATS FCS Offensive Player of the Year Finalist who finished the season with 1,418 rushing yards on 240 carries with 16 touchdowns.
