Tribe Football Spring Practice Update – April 7

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (April 7, 2016) – Today's William & Mary football spring practice update features a look at the Tribe's depth chart at quarterback.

Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach Kevin Rogers
"This is by far the best group we've had during my time here as the offensive coordinator. This is a competitive, hardworking group that possesses the ability to be successful. When we take the field this fall, I expect we'll have multiple quarterbacks who will be able to win games for us."

Quarterbacks
#16 Steve Cluley, Sr. (6-3, 215)
Returning All-CAA standout who will enter his third season as a starter this fall … Led the CAA in completion percentage (.627) and ranked second in passing yards per game (212.9) last fall … One of the nation's most experienced quarterbacks with 25 consecutive starts … Expected to continue progression and emerge as one of the country's top quarterbacks as a senior … Excellent arm strength and accurate passer … Demonstrates toughness, durability and poise under pressure.
#6 Tommy McKee, So. (6-2, 205)
Backup quarterback as a redshirt freshman last season … Did a great job learning the offense … Consistently shown improvement … Bright, competitive quarterback who brings a mature approach to the field … Works hard both on the field and in the film room … Good athlete with some mobility … Former scout team offensive player of the year (2014).
#2 Jhalil Mosley, Jr. (6-1, 195)
Physically talented quarterback with a gifted arm and quick release … Possesses all the tools to be an exceptional player … Limited by injuries throughout much of his collegiate career … Despite injuries, he has made significant progress during the past few seasons.
#10 Brandon Battle, RFr. (6-3, 185)
Excellent passer with a tremendous arm … Getting first significant reps this spring after redshirting as a true freshman last fall … Member of the travel squad for three games in 2015 … Has done and excellent job learning the playbook but now must translate that knowledge to productivity on the field.
