During the weekend series finale, the Tribe had eight different players collect hits. Senior

For the Tribe, Miconi registered his fourth homer of the season and second in a five-day span on a solo bomb to right field. In the bottom half of the frame, Ryan Jeffers hit a two-RBI double to right center to provide UNCW a 2-1 lead.
The W&M offense exploded for a six-run rally in the top of the third to reclaim the lead. Pearson started the rally with a leadoff single, before Hall reached on a fielding error. Miconi got after it again with a RBI double to right field, and Large followed up with a two-RBI single through the right side. Smith kept the rally going with another RBI single to left field. On the next at bat, Ameer singled up the middle and then stole second base. After the second out, Wrighte launched a two-run homer to left field, giving the Tribe a 7-2 advantage.
However, the Seahawks trimmed the deficit on a pair of runs in the bottom of the third. Casey Golden led off the frame with a single to right center. Following the first out, Nick Feight hit a two-run dinger to right field for a 7-4 affair.
W&M ignited a two-out rally to increase its lead in the top of the fifth. Wrighte got the rally going with a walk, before sophomore
Owen Socher singled to right field. Pearson drew another walk to juice the bases and Hall brought Wrighte and Socher home on a double, putting the Tribe ahead 9-4.
The Green and Gold squeaked across another run in the seventh inning. Wrighte hit a single to lead off the frame, before advancing to second on a Socher sac bunt. On the next at bat, Pearson plated Wrighte behind a single through the left side for a 10-4 margin.
However, UNCW retaliated in a big way with a five-run spurt in the bottom of the seventh. Robbie Thorburn hit a leadoff triple, before a Cole Weiss grounder brought him home. Mason Bernie continued the rally with a one-out RBI single, and Jeffers followed up with a three-run homer to trail 10-9.
The Tribe struggled to add insurance runs in the next two innings and still nursed its one-run margin heading into the bottom of the ninth. Reliever
Daniel Powers retired the first two batters on a grounder to third base and a fly out to center field. On the next at bat, Riley Zayicek singled to right field, but Powers struck Thorburn out swinging to preserve W&M's first CAA win and avoid a series sweep.
Redshirt-sophomore
Nick Raquet (1-1) was credit with the win as he logged six innings, fanned six batters and allowed four runs on five hits. Powers clinched his first save of the season after posting a strikeout and surrendering just one hit in 0.2 innings.
