Faure leads W&M with 20 singles wins on the year and is 36-21 over her two seasons in singles play with the Green and Gold. On Tuesday, she was ranked No. 79 nationally in doubles along with sophomore
Lauren Goodman. During the fall, Faure won the ITA Atlantic Region Singles Championship and competed in the ITA National Indoor Championship. She has been ranked in the national singles rankings each of the last two seasons.
The Tribe, which is ranked No. 50 nationally, is the No. 1 seed in the 2017 Colonial Athletic Association Championship for the third-straight year. W&M faces the winner of the first-round match-up between No. 8 Drexel and No. 9 Hofstra on Friday, April 21, at 9 a.m. Elon University hosts the 2017 CAA Championship at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center, April 20-23.
The CAA Semifinals are set for 10 a.m. on Saturday with both matches being played simultaneously. The CAA Championship match is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 23. The winner of the CAA Championship will earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Tribe has won 24 CAA titles all-time and enters the 2017 event as the two-time defending league champion.
