Women's Basketball to Host Ladies Night and National Girls and Women in Sports Day

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Join the Tribe women's basketball for a fun filled weekend for all on January 26 and 28 when the team will host its annual Ladies Night and National Girls & Women in Sports Clinic, respectively.
 
On Friday, Jan. 26, the Tribe will be hosting a celebration for its female fans. RSVP in advance for a pre-game event from 6-7 p.m. in the Wightman Cup Room before the contest versus the College of Charleston. All ladies over 21 years of age are welcomed to join. There will be a chalk talk from a member of the women's basketball coaching staff, a free Tribe wine charm handed out to all participants, free hors d' oeuvres served and a cash bar. Then Sunday, Jan. 28, the Tribe will be hosting their first annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day, which is a day to celebrate the importance of fair play, build awareness about Title IX and to work together toward the promise of equal opportunity in sports. Before the game against Hofstra, members of various Tribe women's sport programs will be leading a free clinic for all girls in grades K-8 in the William & Mary Recreation Center (400 Brooks Street) from 12:00-1:30PM, helping to teach athletic skills and drills, and a healthy lifestyle.
