WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (March 16, 2018) – The William & Mary women's gymnastics team concluded its regular season home slate with a 193.425-191.975 victory against Penn on Senior Night at Kaplan Arena on Friday.
In addition to posting the top team scores on vault (48.425) and bars (48.725), the Tribe's impressive effort on bars was just 0.075 shy of ranking among the top-10 performances in school history in the event.
Caroline Caponi highlighted W&M's individual efforts, as she won all-around with a season-high 38.700. Additionally, she claimed the vault title with a career-high 9.775, while she and
Katie Waldman tied for first on bars with a 9.850. The outstanding mark equaled a career best for Caponi and ranks tied for 10th all-time in the event at W&M.

Vault, 48.425 – Tribe gymnasts recorded the top five scores on vault as Caponi (9.775),
Erika Marr (9.700) and
Katie Waldman (9.700) garnered the first three spots.
Madison Dwyer and
Katie Webber both earned a 9.625 to contribute to the team total.
Bars, 48.725 – Led by Caponi and Waldman's first-place finish on bars (9.850), W&M registered its second-best score of the season in the event. The score equaled a career high for Caponi and ranks tied for 10th in the Green & Gold's record book.
Monica Ouellet also came up big with a 9.725.
Beam, 48.150 – Waldman was W&M's top finisher on beam and tied for third with a 9.750. Also contributing to the team total were Dwyer (9.725, equaled a season high) and
Taylor White (9.700).
Floor, 48.125 –
Elizabeth Snoddy led the way on floor and placed second with a career-high 9.800. Caponi and
Sophie Harris also performed well and earned a 9.750 and 9.700, respectively.
All-Around – Caponi (38.700, season high) and Waldman (38.500) posted the top two all-around totals, while
Taylor White (37.800) also competed in all four events.
