2008 Colonial All-Pro Football Camp

- William and Mary head football coach Jimmye Laycock and the Colonial All-Pro Football Camp have once again attracted some of the most prominent names from the National Football League to serve as guest instructors at this year’s camp. The 2008 Colonial All-Pro Camp will be held June 22-25 on the W&M campus.

Participating in this summer’s camp will be future Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre (most recently of the Green Bay Packers), reigning AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year, Minnesota Vikings All-Pro running back, Adrian Peterson and four-time Pro Bowl tight end Jason Witten from the Dallas Cowboys.

Last summer’s camp instructors included former Biletnikoff Award winning wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals, former Super Bowl winning quarterback Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers and quarterback Jason Campbell of the Washington Redskins.

The 2008 camp will mark the 15th summer the All-Pro camp has featured names from the pro ranks. Other featured instructors have included Tom Brady, Clinton Portis, Jerome Bettis, Dan Marino, Brett Farve, Steve McMair, Kurt Warner, Bruce Smith and many others. These greats, along with Laycock and his staff, make for a memorable and instructive camp experience for young players.

Also in 2008, campers will have the chance to practice and work out on the new natural grass surface of the Joseph W. Montgomery Practice Complex in the shadows of the state-of-the-art Jimmye Laycock Football Center, which will be open and operational.
