Mens' Basketball Assistant Coach Chad Warner

- Assistant Coach Chad Warner (Georgia, 1998)

Chad Warner is in his second year at W&M. He started as an assistant coach with the Tribe in the summer of 2004, following one season as an assistant coach at Hampden-Sydney.

In the 2003-04 season, Warner helped the Tigers earn a No. 1 ranking during the season and the team ended the year with a record of 26-5. H-SC won the Old Dominion Athletic Conference championship and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament. Warner was in charge of all recruiting and opponent scouting efforts for the Tigers, while also playing a key role in improving the team’s guard play.

A 1998 graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in public relations, Warner earned a spot on the basketball team as a walk-on his freshman year. Following his graduation from Georgia, Warner was the associate head basketball coach for four years at the Darlington School in Rome, Georgia. He returned to Athens to serve as a graduate student assistant coach on the Georgia men’s basketball team for the 2002-03 campaign.

A native of Rome, Georgia, Warner lives in Williamsburg with his wife, Karin. They are expecting their first child in February.
