Tribe Cross Country to Host Colonial Inter-Regional Challenge This Weekend

Several Nationally and Regionally Ranked Teams Scheduled to Compete

WILLIAMSBURG - The men's and women's cross country teams will host ten teams from up and down the eastern seaboard tomorrow in the First Annual Colonial Inter-Regional Challenge. All races will be held on the Dunbar Farms course at Eastern State Hospital.

More than 260 athletes are scheduled to compete in four races Saturday morning, including nationally ranked squads from Georgetown, LaSalle, and William and Mary. On the men's side, Georgetown is ranked 13th in the latest USTFCCCA poll, and the College came in at 22nd. For the women, Georgetown is ranked 23rd and both LaSalle and W&M are receiving votes.

Directions to Eastern State
From the North/West: Take I-64 East to Lightfoot Exit 234 (Route 199 East). At top of exit ramp, take a right onto Route 199 East. Stay on 199 East until the Longhill Road exit. Exit at Longhill Road. At the top of the exit ramp, take a left at the light onto Longhill Road. Continue straight through the next stoplight. At the next stoplight, take a right into Eastern State Hospital. Take a right at the first stop sign. Follow road for approximately two blocks until it crosses with another road. General parking is immediately to the right of this intersection. For teams and event staff, take a left at the intersection and a right at the next road. Follow to team parking at lot at end of road.

From the South/East: Take I-64 West to Exit 242A (Route 199 West). Follow 199 through five stoplights. After the fifth light, take the next exit, Monticello Avenue. Bear right on the exit ramp and merge onto Monticello Avenue. At the second stoplight, take a left onto Ironbound Road. At the next stoplight, take a left into Eastern State Hospital. Take a right at the first stop sign. Follow road for approximately two blocks until it crosses with another road. General parking is immediately to the right of this intersection. For teams and event staff, take a left at the intersection and a right at the next road. Follow to team parking at lot at end of road.
