Christo Landry Named CAA Runner of the Week

Junior Won First Collegiate Race on Saturday

RICHMOND, VA - The Colonial Athletic Association announced today that William and Mary runner Christo Landry (Falls Church, VA) has been named Runner of the Week in recognition of his performance this past weekend at the Colonial Inter-Regional Challenge. This is Landry’s third Runner of the Week honor, after he earned it twice last season.

Landry won the Colonial Inter-Regional Challenge with a time of 23:51.4 for the 8 kilometer course, leading W&M to the team title in an upset victory over then-13th ranked Georgetown. Somewhat surprisingly, it was the first race that he, an All-American in 2004, had won in college.

Landry and the rest of the Tribe are back in action in two weeks, at the Brooks Pre-National Invitational on October 14 in Terre Haute, Indiana.
