Women’s Golf Moves Up To Eighth At Spider Invitational

GLEN ALLEN, VA - William and Mary’s women’s golf team put together a solid round and took advantage of other teams’ misfortunes to move past James Madison and finish eighth today at the Spider Invitational. Campbell shot 307 in the final round to move past Virginia, and also boasted the individual medalist in Belen Diaz Cisneros (77-74=151).

Melissa DePuy (Naples, FL) was the Tribe’s low finisher in the tournament, finishing tied for 23rd with a total of 169 (+25). One stroke back, freshmen Brielle Paolini (Virginia Beach, VA) and Robyn English (Warwick, RI) (competing as an individual) tied with four others for 26th at 170. Misha Harvey (Forest, VA) cut six strokes between rounds to shoot 83, and finish tied for 34th at 172. Also cutting strokes was freshman Morgan Stepanek (Guilford, CT), who improved eight strokes and moved up to a tie for 45th with her second-round 84. Sophomore Ellie Costello (Wilmette, IL), competing as an individual, finished in a tie for 51st, and junior Kara Siford (Manassas, VA) finished alone in 56th.
