Men’s Cross Country Competes At Cavalier Open

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - With only one week to go before the NCAA Regional Championships, William and Mary’s men’s cross country sent several runners to Charlottesville today to compete in the Cavalier Open against runners from Virginia and George Mason.

Sophomore Colin Leak (Chadds Ford, Penn.) was the first in-uniform runner in the race, and third overall in a time of 24:58.9 for the eight kilometers. Classmate Drew Midland (Virginia Beach, Va.) was fifth overall with a time of 25:28.2. Karl Lang (Oak Hill, Va.) was next across the line for the Green and Gold, clearing the course in 25:42.3 for eighth place. Cabell Rosanelli (Richmond, Va.), 16th in 26:16.1, and Bryce Wilk (Millbrook, N.Y.), who was 19th in 26:26.5, also ran in-uniform for the Tribe.

William and Mary will make a run at ten-consecutive berths to the NCAA Championships next Saturday, November 11, at the Southeast Region Championships in Louisville, Kentucky.
