Men’s Cross Country Wins IC4A Championship

Tribe Has Six Earn All-East Honors

BRONX, N.Y. - The “top” runners may be at the NCAA Championships this weekend, but the remainder of the William and Mary’s men’s cross country team proved today that it wasn’t just an after-thought, winning the program’s third IC4A Championship by 47 points. James Madison was led to second-place by individual champion C.W. Moran, who finished in 24:38.1.

Sophomore Rob Dennis (Little Silver, N.J.) was the top Tribe finisher, leading five of his teammates in the top-25 with his fifth-place finish (25:14.6). James Picard (Midlothian, Va.) was seventh in 25:21.4, and Jason Schoener (Grand Blanc, Mich.) was 10th in 25:26.6. Joel Parker (Portsmouth, Va.), Dan Nally (Warrenton, Va.), and Drew Midland (Virginia Beach, Va.) were 12th, 18th, and 21st, respectively, to claim their first All-East designations. In the coaches’ race, sophomore Bryce Wilk (Millbrook, N.Y.) was second in 26:42.3

William and Mary’s season concludes on Monday at the NCAA Championships.
