Katie Radloff Set to Compete at NCAA Championships

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN - William and Mary freshman swimmer Katie Radloff (Arlington, Va.) will begin competition tomorrow at the NCAA Championships, hosted by the University of Minnesota. Preliminary sessions begin at noon EST, with finals beginning at 8 p.m. EST. Fans can follow the Championships live, either through Live Stats provided by the University of Minnesota, or by streaming video from ESPN 360.

Radloff will compete in three events: the 50, 100, and 200 yard freestyles. Two weeks ago, she won all three of those events at the Colonial Athletic Association Championships, earning Swimmer of the Meet honors with the triple. In November, she also won all three events at the Terrapin Cup Invitational, and in regular season dual meets, she was undefeated in 24 races at those distances.

The 50 free will be swum on Thursday, March 8; the 200 on Friday, March 9; and the 100 free is on Saturday, March 10. The top 16 swimmers from the preliminary heats advance to the evening sessions, with the top eight competing for the national championship, and the next eight competing in consolation finals. All-American honors are conferred upon all 16 advancing swimmers.
