Katie Radloff Competes At NCAAs

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN - The All-American dreams will have to wait one more day at the NCAA Women's Swimming Championships for William and Mary's Katie Radloff (Arlington, Va.). The Tribe freshman competed in the 50-yard freestyle today.

"Today's race wasn't bad," head coach McGee Moody said afterwards. "She [Radloff] got in the water against these girls and saw what it is like here. Our strongest events are still to come, so we'll see how things go tomorrow."

Radloff timed 23.44 in the preliminary heats, placing 63rd overall. The top-16 swimmers qualified for tonight's finals and earned All-American honors. The first Tribe swimmer at the national championships since 1983, Radloff still has at least two, and as many as four, races left. Tomorrow, she'll swim in the 200-yard freestyle, and then in the 100-yard freestyle on Saturday.
