William and Mary Ends Competition at NCAAs

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN - William and Mary freshman Katie Radloff (Arlington, Va.) drew the wildly-successful 2007 season to a close for the team on Saturday at the NCAA Championships. She swam 49.90 in the preliminary heats of the 100-yard freestyle, placing 32nd overall to complete her weekend of racing. Thursday, she finished 63rd in the 50 freestyle, and was 47th in the 200 freestyle on Friday.

Radloff helped William and Mary to its best season in a quarter-century this year. The Tribe amassed an overall record of 8-4 (6-2 Colonial Athletic Association), and won 12 gold medals en route to capturing the first conference title in school history. Radloff won the 50, 100, and 200 freestyles and helped three relays win as well to capture Swimmer of the Meet honors, and was invited to participate at the NCAA Championships in all three individual events.
