Tribe Men Earn Six All-East Honors at ECAC Individual Championships

Tribe’s Crawford Records Team’s Highest Individual Finish with a Third Place Showing on Floor

Philadelphia, Pa. - The College of William and Mary’s men’s gymnastics team finished its season today on a solid note as six gymnasts earned all-east honors this afternoon in the individual event portion of the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships held today at Temple University.

The afternoon started on the right foot for the Tribe, as the squad picked up a pair of honors on the floor exercise, with sophomore Sloan Crawford leading the way with a mark of 8.85 which earned him third place overall. Crawford just edged out freshman teammate Josh Fried (Gwynedd Valley, Pa.), who placed fourth on the event with a mark of 8.80. It was the first all-east certificates for both student-athletes.

William and Mary sophomore James Prim (Hendersonville, N.C.) also earned his first all-east recognition, as he recorded a fifth-place finish on the pommel horse (8.1).

Senior Dave Ridings (Parkton, Md.) and junior Andrew Hunt (Upper Black Eddy, Pa.) each also earned their first career all-east honors, as they tied for sixth with a mark of 8.1 on the parallel bars.

Tribe junior Aaron Ingram (Holden, Mass) finished seventh on the rings and earned his third career all-east honors.

This afternoon’s competition was the last for the College on the season.
