Men’s Golf Moves Into Tie for Fourth at CAA Championships

HOT SPRINGS, VA - William and Mary dropped nine strokes between rounds to shoot 291 and move up into a tie for fourth-place heading into the final day of the CAA Championships. Old Dominion moved into the overall lead, five strokes ahead of Virginia Commonwealth and Georgia State. VCU’s Jens Fahrbring and ODU’s John Murphy remained tied for the lead at 138 (-2)

Team and Individual Standings

Second-team All-CAA performer Doug Hurson (Bethesda, Md.) is tied for fifth overall after dropping six strokes to shoot 69 in the round. Classmate Brent Paladino (Kensington, Conn.) cut three strokes to card 72 and move up to a tie for 11th. Senior Ryan Price (Chantilly, Va.) is tied for 22nd at 10-over, and senior captain Matt Brantingham (Richmond, Va.) cut one stroke to shoot 75 and stand tied for 26th, one shot behind Price. Junior Jimmy Femino (Manassas, Va.) cut three strokes to shoot 75, and is tied for 33rd.

The CAA Championship concludes on Sunday.
