Emily Gousen Named Co-Runner of the Week by the CAA

Senior Earns Honor for First Time

RICHMOND, VA - Senior Emily Gousen (Arlington, Va.) was honored today by the Colonial Athletic Association as Co-Runner of the Week, sharing the award with Towson’s Katie Ogden. It is the first such award in her career.

Gousen led the Tribe with her runner-up performance at the Lou Onesty Invitational on Saturday, running 18:06.5 for the five kilometer course. That performance was also her collegiate best for five kilometers by nearly 15 seconds, beating the time of 18:20.1 that placed her ninth at last year’s ECAC Championships.

The Tribe returns to action on September 29, when it hosts the Colonial Inter-Regional Challenge at Eastern State Hospital.
