Meghan Walker Selected to Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - After a set of impressive performances at the VCU/Ewing Sports Invitational last weekend, William and Mary junior goalkeeper Meghan Walker has been selected to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week.

Walker recorded seven saves and posted a shutout in the 1-0 victory against second-ranked North Carolina. Additionally, she played more than 70 minutes in the 4-0 win versus Navy. For her efforts, Walker was selected as the event’s most valuable player and earned Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week distinction.

On the season, the Wallingford, Pa., native is allowing just 0.67 goals per match and has registered three shutouts.

The 24th-ranked Tribe will look to extend its three-match winning streak tonight when it hosts Albany at 7 p.m.
