Jonas Miller Leads Team in Tie for Eighth at 2-Under

SUNSET BEACH, N.C. - William and Mary’s men’s golf team is tied for sixth out of 19 teams after the first of three rounds at the Sea Trail Intercollegiate on Friday. The Tribe combined to shoot an even-par 288 in the round, nine strokes behind clubhouse-leader Elon. Steve Dressel shot a five-under 67 for the Phoenix to stake a one-shot lead over the field.

Senior Jonas Miller (Dallas, Texas) continued his strong play this season, opening with a career-best round of 70 (2-under) to stand tied for eighth. Junior Brent Paladino (Kensington, Conn.) also came in under par, shooting 71 (-1) to tie for 18th. Sophomore Conor O’Brien (Weatogue, Conn.) is tied for 41st at 1-over, and junior Doug Hurson (Bethesda, Md.) is tied for 48th after shooting 74 (+2). Senior Jimmy Femino (Manassas, Va.) also carded 74 for his round to finish out the College’s effort.

The Sea Trail Intercollegiate continues with one round tomorrow starting at 8 AM.
