Elon easily outpaced the field, winning by 18-strokes over Murray State. The Tribe finished only one shot behind third-place Bethune-Cookman College. Senior Jonas Miller (Dallas, Texas) was as steady as rock all weekend for the Tribe, shooting his third-consecutive round of 70 to finish with 210 (6-under) and move into a tie for eighth. In addition to recording his first-career top-10 finish, Miller tied the school record for best 54-hole score, set 12 days ago by teammate Brent Paladino (Kensington, Conn.).

Paladino also closed with 70 today, finishing in a tie for 11th at 211 (-5). That score is the third-best in school history. Freshman Conor O’Brien (Weatogue, Conn.) tied for 30 at 217 (+1), after shooting 74 on Sunday. Senior Jimmy Femino (Manassas, Va.) shot an even-par 72 to move up into a tie for 50th, and junior Doug Hurson (Bethesda, Md.) rounded out the Tribe’s showing in a tie for 60th.

The College returns to the links in three weeks at the Belmont Invitational, October 15-16 in Nashville, Tennessee.
