WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The William and Mary women’s soccer team opened its conference slate with a 3-0 victory against Drexel on Friday evening in Williamsburg. With the triumph, the Tribe improves to 6-3 overall and 1-0 in league action, while the Dragons fall to 4-3-1 overall and 0-1 in CAA play.

Junior Claire Zimmeck registered the game-winner less than two minutes into the contest off a cross from freshman Mary Carter Jacocks on the left side. It was Zimmeck’s sixth goal of the season and her fifth game-winner.

W&M added the second score in the 59th minute when junior Danielle Collins corralled her own blocked shot in the box and found the back of the net for her second goal of the season.

The College tacked on the final goal in the 73rd minute with a score by sophomore Kellie Jenkins. Junior Meredith Brown provided the assist, as Jenkins fielded the pass inside the box and scored into the lower right side of the goal.
