Tribe Continues Play at ITA All-American Championships

Alex Cojanu and Keziel Juneau will take part in the main doubles draw beginning Oct. 4.

Tulsa, Okla. - Senior Alex Cojanu and sophomore Keziel Juneau wrapped up singles action at the 2007 Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Championships on Oct. 2. Both Tribe players dropped their consolation bracket contests in the qualifying draw. The W&M duo will take part in the 32-team main doubles draw, beginning Oct. 4. The All-American Championships are being hosted by the University of Tulsa at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

Cojanu, who is ranked No. 85 nationally in singles, fell to Christian Rojmar of Texas Tech, 7-6 (4), 6-4, in the consolation bracket. Juneau dropped his consolation draw match, 6-3, 6-4, to Bruno Alcala of Arizona.

Cojanu and Juneau will open play in the main doubles draw of the All-American Championships on Thursday, Oct. 4. The Tribe duo is ranked No. 11 nationally. The second and quarterfinal rounds of the doubles draw are slated for Oct. 5 with the semifinals and championship to follow on Oct. 6 and Oct. 7, respectively.
