Tribe Earns a 0-0 Draw at Northeastern

BOSTON, Mass. - The William and Mary women’s soccer team earned a 0-0 draw at Northeastern on Sunday afternoon in Boston. With the decision, the Tribe (8-3-1, 3-0-1) has now shutout three of its last four opponents.

The College out-shot the Huskies (2-6-3, 0-2-2) by a 28-7 margin and had a 14-3 advantage in shots on goal. In the second half, W&M out-shot Northeastern, 15-1. The Green and Gold also held a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Junior Claire Zimmeck led the Tribe with seven shots, four of which were on goal, while junior Danielle Collins and sophomore Sarah Quinlan each finished with four attempts apiece.

Junior Meghan Walker posted her sixth shutout of the season and lowered her goals against average to 0.49. As a team, W&M has shutout eight of its 12 opponents this season.

The Tribe will return to action again next weekend with a pair of road contests at James Madison and VCU.
