Emily Anderson Named CAA Runner of the Week

Sophomore Earns First Career Honor

RICHMOND, VA - Sophomore Emily Anderson (Golf, Ill.) was selected as the Colonial Athletic Association Runner of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday. It is the first career award for Anderson, and the third for the Tribe so far this season.

Anderson led the Tribe at the Pre-National Invitational, finishing 66th in the “White” race with a time of 21:23.5. Her performance is the best six-kilometer time of her college career, beating the 21:35.7 she ran at the Colonial Inter-Regional last month.

William and Mary returns to action on October 26, when it travels to New York to defend its CAA title.
