Ian Fitzgerald Named CAA Runner of the Week

Senior Earns Second Award of the Season

RICHMOND, VA - Senior Ian Fitzgerald (Glenshaw, Pa.) was selected as the Colonial Athletic Association Runner of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday. It is the second award of the season for Fitzgerald, after his second-place showing at the Colonial Inter-Regional on September 29th.

Fitzgerald led the Tribe to an 11th-place finish in the Pre-National “White” race on Saturday. He ran 23:39.2 for 14th place overall, only 11 seconds out of the top five.

William and Mary returns to action on October 26, when it travels to New York to defend its CAA title.
