Tribe Pair Falls in Quarterfinals

W&M will return to action when it hosts the Tribe Invitational on Nov. 1-4.

Charlottesville, Va. - The William and Mary doubles team of senior Alex Cojanu and sophomore Keziel Juneau fell in the quarterfinals of the ITA Mideast Regional on Saturday afternoon. After opening the day with a victory, the Tribe duo fell in a tiebreaker to the North Carolina pair of Taylor Fogleman and Chris Kearny. The University of Virginia hosted the ITA Mideast Regional at the Boyd Tinsley Courts at the Boar’s Head Sports Club.

In the round of 16, the Tribe duo needed a tiebreaker to dispatch of Maryland’s Andrew Orban and Boris Fetbroyt, earning a spot in the quarterfinals. W&M downed the Terrapin pair, 9-8 (6), for its second victory of the tournament. Cojanu and Juneau could not get the tiebreaker to go their way in the quarterfinals, falling to Fogleman and Kearny, 9-8 (7). The W&M tandem is 4-3 on the season.

W&M will return to action when it hosts the final fall event of the season at the Tribe Invitational. The Invitational is set for the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center in Williamsburg, Nov. 1-4.
