Morgan Stepanek Finishes in Tie for 14th at Ross Resorts Invitational

Women’s Golf Finishes Fall Season in Ninth Place

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. - William and Mary’s women’s golf team finished the fall season at the Ross Resorts Invitational today, placing ninth in the 15-team field. Host Rollins College posted an eight-stroke victory over Augusta State, with Joanna Coe from Rollins claiming the individual medal by a single stroke at 8-over.

Final Results

Sophomore Morgan Stepanek (Guilford, Conn.) recovered from a second-round 82 to finish with 77 today and secure a tie for 14th. Freshman Sarah Whitney (Hingham, Mass.), competing as an individual, shot 79 in the final round to tie for 19th, and finish every round of the tournament in the 70s. Senior Misha Harvey (Forest, Va.) finished in a tie for 23rd after carding 81 in her final stanza. Classmate Erika Oldenkamp (Hinsdale, Ill.) finished in a tie for 47th, two strokes ahead of freshman Katie Murphy (Chesapeake, Va.), who tied for 53rd. Sophomore Brielle Paolini (Virginia Beach, Va.) rounded out the Tribe’s effort in a tie for 74th.

With the fall season now complete, W&M will not return to action until the Fighting Camel Classic, February 25-26 in Buies Creek, North Carolina.
