Moulton-Levy, Tribe Pair Advance in Consolations of ITA National Indoors

Megan Moulton-Levy improved to 7-1 on the season with a straight-set win over a nationally-ranked foe.

Columbus, Ohio - The William and Mary women’s tennis program tallied a pair of victories in the consolation brackets at the ITA National Indoor Championships on Nov. 2. Senior Megan Moulton-Levy notched a straight-set victory in the singles consolation round of 16, while the Tribe duo of Moulton-Levy and junior Katarina Zoricic also tallied a victory in the consolation doubles bracket.

Moulton-Levy improved to 7-1 on the season with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over No. 56-ranked Cristina Visico of California in the consolation round of 16. She will meet play winner of No. 42 Christy Striplin of Georgia Tech and No. 24 Nadia Abdala of Arizona State in the consolation quarterfinals on Saturday, Nov. 3.

In the doubles consolation quarterfinals, Moulton-Levy and Zoricic defeated Polina Kokoulina and Pichittra Thongdach of Boise State, 8-6, on Friday afternoon. The W&M pair improved to 7-2 on the season and will meet the Duke tandem of Melissa Mang and Amanda Granson in the consolation semifinals on Saturday.

The Ohio State University is hosting the ITA National Indoor Championships at the Racquet Club of Columbus. The event gets underway with consolation singles action at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3. Main draw singles action will follow with the doubles portion of the event at the end of the day on Saturday.
