Williamsburg - The William and Mary men’s tennis team tallied five singles victories and a trio of doubles wins on the second day of the Tribe Invitational at the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center. The Tribe is hosting the second annual event with Notre Dame, N.C. State and Maryland competing along with W&M in the three-day competition.

In the top singles flight, senior Alex Cojanu tallied his second victory of the invite. The No. 85-ranked player nationally defeated Christian Welte of N.C. State in straight sets, 6-4, 7-5. Junior Dominic Pagon joined his Tribe teammate in victory in the top singles flight. The Kingston, Jamaica native defeated N.C. State’s Derek Stephens, 6-1, 6-1, for his ninth singles victory of the season.

The Tribe also went 2-0 in the second singles flight as sophomore Keziel Juneau and junior Marwan Ramadan recorded victories. Juneau notched his second win of the event, upending Eric Turner of N.C. State, 6-1, 6-0. Ramadan needed three sets to notch his sixth singles victory of the season. After dropping the first set, 7-6, Ramadan rebounded to take the final two, 6-4, 10-5, over N.C.
