Tribe Concludes Competition at ITA National Indoor Championships

The Tribe will return to action at the Kitty Harrison Invitational, Nov. 9-11.

Columbus, Ohio - The William and Mary women’s tennis program wrapped up competition at the ITA National Indoor Championships on Saturday, Nov. 3. Senior Megan Moulton-Levy advanced to the consolation semifinals before dropping her second match of the event, while the W&M pair of Moulton-Levy and junior Katarina Zoricic also fell in their consolation match on Saturday.

Moulton-Levy opened the day with a three-set victory over No. 24 Nadia Abdala of Arizona State, 6-2, 4-6, 6-0, in the consolation quarterfinals. The No. 7-ranked player nationally also went to three sets in her consolation semifinal match, before falling to Northwestern’s Maria Mosolova, 6-4, 2-6, 6-1. With the split, Moulton-Levy moved to 8-2 in singles on the season.

In doubles, Moulton-Levy and Zoricic dropped their third match of the season in the consolation semifinals. The duo fell to the Duke pair of Melissa Mang and Amanda Granson, 8-5. The pair fell to 7-3 on the season.

W&M will close out the 2007 fall season at the Kitty Harrison Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C. The even will be held Nov. 9-11.
