Kim Hedley, Jenna Cinalli Garner CAA Awards

Virginia Beach, Va. - Senior forward Kim Hedley and freshman midfielder Jenna Cinalli were recognized by the Colonial Athletic Association as part of the league’s all-conference teams on Nov. 2. For the second straight season, Hedley earned Second-Team All-CAA honors, while Cinalli was named to the CAA All-Rookie Team. The two all-conference teams, all-rookie team and the player, coach, rookie and defender of the year were all selected based on voting from the league coaches.

After being named to the Preseason All-CAA team, Hedley garnered second-team all-league laurels for the second sea-son in a row. She topped the Tribe in goals (6), assists (7) and points (19). She ranked seventh in the CAA in points and fourth in the league in assists. Earlier this season, Hedley earned CAA Player of the Week honors after tallying a pair of goals and two assists in matches against No. 1 North Carolina and Appalachian State. Hedley was also named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I Senior All-Star Game slated for Nov. 17. She finished her W&M career with 43 career points on 17 goals and nine assists, while playing in 65 contests and starting 45.

Cinalli’s selection to the All-Rookie team marks the fourth straight season that W&M has had a player named to the all-rookie squad. Cinalli ranked second on the team in goals with five, while leading the College with a trio of game-winning markers. She ranked third in the league in game-winning goals. The Fredericksburg, Va., native played in 18 matches for the College and started the final 12 contests of the season.
