Cam Shriver Re-Qualifies for IC4As at the CNU Holiday Open

Junior Ties High Jump Mark Set Last Week

NEWPORT NEWS, VA - Junior Cam Shriver (Oxford, Ohio) tied his personal-best mark in the high jump Saturday at the CNU Holiday Open, earning his second IC4A qualification of the young season. Due to technical difficulties, results were unavailable until Sunday afternoon.

Shriver cleared 6’ 8.25” in the high jump, good for third place in the day’s competition, and tying the Tribe’s all-time eighth-best mark he jumped last weekend at the Liberty Kickoff. Senior Brandon Evans (Virginia Beach, Va.) timed 7.35 seconds in the 60m dash, improving his personal-best in the event and ranking fifth all-time at the College. Redshirt-freshman Chad Cochran (Centreville, Va.) ran 9.20 seconds in the 60m hurdles, moving him into eighth place in school history.

Also of note, sophomore Kiernan Lofland (Crozier, Va.) took second in the pole vault with a best-height of 15 feet, and redshirt-freshman Dan Klatzkin (Gaithersburg, Md.) took fourth in the shot put competition with a put of 43’ 10.5”.

William and Mary will be off for exams and the winter holidays until Saturday, January 12, when the Tribe travels to Blacksburg for the Virginia Tech Invitational.
