Tribe Lax Participates in Holiday Giving Program

Williamsburg - The William and Mary lacrosse team recently participated in the Christmas Giving Tree program in the Williamsburg area, providing presents for a selected homeless family.

The team picked the family from a list of eligible families from the area on the tree and collected money to fulfill the Christmas wishes of the four children in the family, ranging in ages from 3 to 11-years old. Senior Laura Lindsay, one of the team’s Student Athletic Advisory Committee representatives, coordinated the effort.

“Our team was very excited to be Santa Claus for these children,” said Lindsay. “Knowing we were able to pro-vide a happy Christmas for children less fortunate is a special feeling this time of year.”

Some of the wishes and gifts the team were able to provided included a Gameboy XP, Barbie Dolls, superhero
action figures, and baby dolls. Lindsay wrapped the presents (shown above) and delivered them to the program.
