Kyra Kaylor Selected as CAA Co-Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. - After a pair of outstanding performances in last week’s contests against Georgia State and No. 15/20 Old Dominion, senior Kyra Kaylor has been selected as the Colonial Athletic Association Co-Player of the Week. She shares the honor with Virginia Commonwealth’s Kita Waller.

Kaylor averaged 20.5 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 2.5 spg, 1.0 bpg and 1.0 apg in the Tribe’s win against the Panthers and the loss to ODU. Additionally, the Pittsburgh, Pa., native shot 57.7 percent (15-of-26) from the field and made all nine of her free throw attempts.

Kaylor equaled a season high with 23 points against GSU and added five rebounds, one steal, one block and an assist. She connected on 9-of-13 shots from the field. Kaylor followed up that performance with a game-high 18 points to go with eight boards, four steals and a block versus ODU.

One of the CAA’s top players, Kaylor continues to lead the Tribe and rank among the league’s best with 15.1 ppg and 8.5 rpg.

The Tribe will return to action when it plays at George Mason on Thursday at 7 p.m.
