Senior captain Meredith David (Somerdale, N.J.) showed the underclassmen how the job was done in her final home meet, leading off the winning 200 medley relay that timed 1:50.64 before earning her 45th career victory in the 200 back, shattering the pool record with a time of 2:04.90. David is only the seventh Tribe swimmer to reach 45 career wins.

Joining David on the 200 medley relay was freshman Carolyn Royce (Midlothian, Va.) and sophomores Erin Welshofer (Charlotte, N.C.) and Lindsay Guers (Orwigsburg, Pa.). Guers picked up a pair of individual titles as well, winning the 200 free in 1:54.67 and the 200 IM in 2:11.95. Welshofer was a single-event winner, claiming the 200 fly in 2:09.17.

Freshman Emily Burns (Snellville, Ga.) picked up her first career victory, winning the 50 free in 24.50 seconds. Junior Whitney Pezza (Warrenton, Va.) won the 100 fly in 59.65 seconds. The victory was the 20th of her career, making Pezza only the 24th swimmer in school history to reach the 20-win plateau.

Sophomore Katie Radloff (Arlington, Va.) won two individual events and teamed on the winning 400 free relay with Sara Fitzsimmons (Lorton, Va.), Christina Monsees (Brewster, N.Y.), and Marina Falcone (Potomac, Md.) to time 3:34.97. Radloff’s individual victories came in the 100 back (58.26) and the 100 free (51.49), and tied her with Kathy Welch ’85 for fourth all-time at the College with 52 career wins.

With the regular season concluded, William and Mary is now training towards the CAA Championships, February 27-March 1 in Fairfax, Virginia.
