Brent Paladino Moves Up Leaderboard at Cuthbert Cup

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - Junior Brent Paladino (Kensington, Conn.) shot a strong round of 69 Monday at the Cuthbert Cup to leap up the leaderboard to a tie for sixth, six strokes behind Maryland’s Chris Gold in the race for the individual medal. As a team, William and Mary stands tenth in the field with one round to go, while UNC Wilmington and Washington State are tied at the top with team scores of 3-over.

Results After Two Rounds

Sophomore Conor O’Brien (Weatogue, Conn.) is second on the team after shooting 76 in the second round to tie for 33rd overall at 6-over (150). Junior Doug Hurson (Bethesda, Md.) shot 74 Monday to move up to a tie for 41st, one stroke behind O’Brien. Freshman Brandon Parker (Auburn, Mass.) paired his first-round 80 with another to stand tied for 56th, and senior Jonas Miller (Dallas, Texas) rounded out the Tribe effort in 65th.

The tournament concludes with one round today, uniquely as each foursome on the course will include two men and two women.
