Carly Morse (Sumerduck, Va.) was fourth in the discus, throwing 127’ 4”, and was also third in the shot put with a put of 41’ 7.25”. Sophomore Ashley Williams (Williamsburg, Va.) took fifth with a put of 41’ 0.5”.

On the track, the Tribe had a pair of event winners. Junior Ashley Madonick (Seaside Park, N.J.) blazed to a season-fast 57.18 in the 400m dash, and classmate Lynn Morelli (Philadelphia, Pa.) took gold in the 1,500m run with a time of 4:40.60. Also in the 1,500m, junior Rebecca Ward (Midlothian, Va.) time 4:57.81 for fourth place.

The 4x100m relay of Dana Harvey (Mechanicsville, Va.), Madonick, Mallory Hogan (West Hartford, Conn.), and Sarah Rybarczyk (Snohomish, Wash.) was second in 50.07. Harvey and Rybarczyk also placed fifth in individual events, with Harvey timing 26.41 seconds in the 200m dash, and Rybarczyk running the 800m in 2:30.31.

W&M has two weeks off before the next meet, and it will need every day as four meets are scheduled for the weekend of March 28-29. The Alabama Relays kick things off in Tuscaloosa, March 27-28, and the Raleigh Relays (Raleigh, North Carolina), Fred Hardy Invitational (Richmond, Virginia), and Liberty Asics Invitational (Lynchburg, Virginia) are all on tap March 28-29.
