Moulton-Levy, Zoricic Honored by CAA
Megan Moulton-Levy received the CAA Singles Player of the Week honor for March 2, while the pair of Moulton-Levy and Katarina Zoricic garnered the league’s doubles team of the week award for March 9.

Richmond, Va. - The Colonial Athletic Association recognized senior Megan Moulton-Levy and junior Katarina Zoricic of the William and Mary women’s tennis team for their play during the month of March. Moulton-Levy was named the CAA Singles Player of the Week for the week of March 2, while her and Zoricic also garnered the league’s doubles team of the week honor for the week ending March 9. The CAA released the CAA Singles Player and Doubles Team of the Week for the opening three weeks of the season on March 20.
The awards were the 11th and 12th of Moulton-Levy’s storied Tribe career. She has won the CAA’s weekly singles honor on five occasions and the doubles accolade seven times. The doubles distinction marks the fourth CAA weekly award for Zoricic and the third time she has received the pairs honor with Moulton-Levy.
Moulton-Levy earned the CAA Singles Player of the Week honor, notching a trio of straight-set wins during a three-match road trip to Texas against No. 27 Texas, No. 8 Baylor and No. 33 TCU. Her best victory during the stretch was a 6-3, 6-3 triumph over 24th-ranked Zuzana Zemenova of Baylor. Moulton-Levy owns a 21-6 singles record this season and is currently ranked 10th in singles by the ITA.
For the third time in the last two seasons, Moulton-Levy and Zoricic received the CAA Doubles Team of the Week af-ter winning all three of their matches against nationally ranked foes during the week of March 9. The duo posted a 9-7 triumph over the Fresno State team of Melanie Gloria and Tinesta Rowe, which is currently ranked No. 2 nationally. The win clinched the doubles point for the College in its 5-2 upset of the No. 16 Bulldogs. Also during the week, the Tribe tandem tallied an 8-3 win over the No. 30-ranked team from Stanford and an 8-6 victory over the No. 42-ranked team from California. On the year, Moulton-Levy and Zoricic are 20-7 and currently ranked No. 11 in the ITA doubles rankings. The duo also owns victories over the top-two teams in the ITA doubles rankings released on March 18.
The Tribe returns from two weeks off when it battles No. 62 Marshall in Williamsburg on Friday, March 21, at 5 p.m. The College will also face defending Ivy League Champion Penn on Sunday, March 23, at noon. Both matches will be played at the Busch Tennis Courts, weather permitting.
